• Verifies and manages Domino Server Tasks, including the ability to start missing tasks, stop prohibited tasks, detect task hangs, and even restart the server if key tasks are hung. The most important thing for administrators is availability. If the server is supposed to be hosting web applications and HTTP is hung, the server needs to be restarted as soon as possible.

How does VitalSigns work?

VitalSigns is a client application. This means that there are generally no changes to your production environment required at all. The product uses the Notes client DLLs to talk to Domino servers, SNMP to talk to BlackBerry servers, and HTTP to talk to Sametime servers and URLs. Other supported servers are communicated with via the appropriate client.

What are the system requirements to run VitalSigns?

VitalSigns is a .NET 1.1 Application, and thus needs the .NET Framework version 1.1 or higher to run. This means that the .NET framework version 1.1 or 2.0 must be installed on the monitoring workstation. The client also requires a valid Notes client, version 6.5 or higher. The Notes ID on the client machine must have Administrator rights to the Domino servers it monitors.

Does VitalSigns 1.1 support Windows Vista?

Yes, VitalSigns has been tested on Windows Vista and is 100% compatible.

Does VitalSigns 1.1 support the .NET Framework 3.0?

Yes, VitalSigns already fully supports the .NET Framework 3.0.
