OverviewFile Attender for Lotus Notes is a Lotus Notes-based file and IM management product that manages the files on a user's hard drive or on a Domino server, which includes files on any random access storage that the user or server can address (File server, WORM, SANS, NAS, Jukebox, etc.).
Features
Managing Files
The sole purpose of File Attender is to manage the user
and/or server files. The files to be managed can exist directly
on the user/server hard drive, any mapped device and/or any UNC
path device. File Attender provides the ability to archive,
delete and move files from their current locations. When
archiving or moving, you set the destination for the files
within the File Restriction. Or if you simply wanting to know
what files currently exist, you could simply collect the
information regarding the desired files and File Attender will
allow you to view the information for these files.
Reporting by Server
File Attender provides the ability to view the files that have been managed for each server (if applicable). The Server File Information documents which contain the file information, are created as response documents to the Server Information documents within File Attender. The Server File Information documents will display the file name, location (drive and folder), size, last modification date, action requested and status. This will provide you with the necessary information regarding the files that were managed (e.g. archived, deleted, moved, etc.). The
Server File Information documents are also used to display the file collection information.
Reporting by UserFile Attender provides the ability to view the files that
have been managed for each user (if applicable). The User File
Information documents which contain the file information, are
created as response documents to the User Information documents
within File Attender. The User File Information documents will
display the file name, location (drive and folder), size, last
modification date, action requested and status. This will
provide you with the necessary information regarding the files
that were managed (e.g. archived, deleted, moved, etc.). The
User File Information documents are also used to display the
file collection information.
